Community Guidelines
Metta People exists because trust is possible between strangers who share the same intention: to heal, to grow, and to live with greater awareness. These guidelines protect that trust for everyone in our community — practitioners, seekers, and place partners alike.
1. Show Up With Integrity
Represent yourself honestly. Practitioners must accurately describe their training, lineage, certifications, and scope of practice. Seekers should communicate their needs and expectations clearly before a session or stay begins.
2. Respect the Sacred and the Personal
Many of the practices shared through Metta People come from living spiritual traditions. Treat teachings, rituals, and practitioners with the same respect you would want shown to your own beliefs. Cultural and spiritual practices should never be mocked, exploited, or misrepresented.
3. Consent Is Non-Negotiable
Every practice — physical, energetic, or otherwise — requires clear, ongoing consent. Practitioners must never pressure a client into a modality, touch, or commitment they haven't agreed to. Seekers have the right to pause or end any session at any time, without justification.
4. No Harassment, Discrimination, or Exploitation
We do not tolerate harassment, discrimination on the basis of race, gender, sexuality, religion, nationality, age, or ability, or any form of financial or emotional exploitation — including the use of a practitioner's authority to manipulate a vulnerable client.
5. Practice Within Your Scope
Practitioners must never present themselves as medical professionals unless licensed to do so, and must always encourage clients to seek appropriate medical care for conditions outside their scope of practice. Metta People is a platform for holistic and spiritual practice — not a substitute for licensed medical treatment.
6. Honest Reviews, Honest Listings
Reviews should reflect genuine experiences. Manipulating ratings, posting fake reviews, or retaliating against honest feedback is prohibited. Listings for practitioners and places must be accurate and kept up to date.
7. Protect the Community's Wellbeing
If you witness a violation of these guidelines — or feel unsafe in any interaction — report it. Every report is reviewed with care and confidentiality.
Violations
Depending on severity, violations of these guidelines may result in a warning, suspension, or permanent removal from the Metta People platform. Serious violations, including abuse, fraud, or safety threats, will be reported to the appropriate authorities.
